About Us:

Scene:Teens’ mission is to teach life lessons through the arts, by filmmakers mentoring “at risk” and “gifted” teens at producing movies, while modeling the positive values of commitment, responsibility and teamwork.

We are a non-profit (501(c)3) corporation, based in Rhode Island.

Our films are made by teens and their mentors for teens about issues pertinent to young adults today.  Some issues that we have dealt with include teen violence, pregnancy, illiteracy and substance abuse.

Scene:Teens was awarded two 2003 DV Awards and one 2004 Grand Goldie Award for our feature Extra Credit.

In order for a project to qualify as a Scene:Teens' project, the script must be about a relevant topic, be rated PG-13 or more mild, and have opportunities for a group of teens to earn school credit, experience, or job skills.

Our current project is a feature film called Wise Boyz, dealing with teen violence.  For more information, please see the "Our Films" page.
